Easter, a little late!

On Saturday before Easter, we went to a brunch/egg hunt. They did it at the park this year, and it was great! It was a little cold for Lauren, but Dylan had a blast! I love this picture! Thanks Ricky! There were eggs all over the place! He didn't know what to do with all of them!Lauren loved the eggs, too!

Then on Easter morning, we woke up early to give the kids their baskets. Dylan was so excited that the Easter bunny came! He got a little wooden train track and Lauren got a baby doll. He liked the sunglasses and candy best!

Dylan being a stud!

I wanted to get a good family shot, but this is was the best one. Maybe next year! I guess we should have stayed out of the sun! Dylan found his eggs in the kitchen this year. Ricky made us Easter brunch after church. It was very delicious! Thanks baby!
And Lauren loved playing with the eggs. Dylan would find them and give them to her. Fun times! We had a wonderful day and spent the evening with Ricky's parents, Kris, Joanna and Alex, and Uncle Jared. It was a wonderful Easter Sunday!

Happy Birthday Ricky!

Yesterday, Ricky turned... wait for it... 26! Yeah! He got to relax at home with me and the kiddos. And then I took him to dinner at Mountain Jack's. It was really nice to get out with just the two of us. We are going to start a date swap with some friends from church. I am so looking forward to it! I really enjoy getting away from the kids and spending time with my hubby! I hope Ricky had a wonderful birthday! We love you sweetie!

9 months!

I can't believe that Lauren is already 9 months old! Where has the time gone? She is doing great! Her stats are:
Weight: 19 lbs. 6 oz. (40th percentile)
Height: 28 1/2 inches (60th percentile)
Head Circumference: 44.5 cm
She has 4 teeth and more to come! She is a great baby! She sleeps through the night (12 hours) and usually takes 2 -2hour naps. She loves to sit and play with her toys. She pushed herself out of the Bumbo seat, so we quit using that. She pulls her bucket of toys over and takes everyone of them out. She has the cutest looks. I love her smiles and laughs. Dylan is still the best at getting her to laugh. I love the sibling love that they have for eachother! My little cutie pie!

Chicago

I love going to Chicago. It's not too far, but far enough to get away from everyday life. We had a wonderful time. On Thursday, we went to Navy Pier and walked around. The kids were great, and so we ventured over to Michigan Ave. to shop. I loved that part! While we were at the mall, Dylan fell and hit his forehead very hard. Luckily we were inside Macy's, so they took care of him. They got an ice pack for his head. Poor little guy. He had an instant goose egg. We then took him to get some ice cream to get his mind off of the pain. While I went to go change Lauren's diaper, which was a blowout, Dylan's nose started bleeding. We were concerned, but kept a close watch on him and he was ok. It was very scary, though. The kids did great in the car, but not so great at the hotel. Go figure! Lauren was fussy from her teeth coming in, and Dylan just wanted to go swimming He woke up and asked to go swimming at the swimming pool. It was really cute, so Ricky took him while I got ready for the temple. This was the first time that Ricky and I took turns going to the temple. We usually plan to have a sitter with us. It worked out great. I took the kids to the Kohl Children's Museum while Ricky was at the temple. The whole trip was very relaxing.

Randomness

I had these two pictures that I thought were too cute to pass on posting! Lauren is a thumb sucker just like Dylan. Except she sucks her thumb with her blanket and all curled up. I think it's really cute! Her top two teeth just popped through. She now has 4 teeth and hasn't bitten me yet! (Knock on wood!)

Catch up

Things are going great around here. Ricky is on vacation this week, so he is painting our bedroom and bathroom. I am very excited! It makes me in the mood to do more around the house! He doesn't want me to bother him, so I am enjoying some time to myself while the kids are sleeping. We are taking a mini-vacation to Chicago on Thursday and Friday. That should be fun! It's been fun having him home! Lauren's top teeth are showing, but they won't pop through the gums. They have been bothering her for days. No fun! We just got Dylan's pictures back from Target. They are sooo cute! We had a really hard time picking out which pictures we wanted. I guess that's better than not having any good ones to choose from! I have been getting some GREAT deals lately! I'll have to do a post on them! I love getting free stuff! Lauren and Dylan started taking baths together! They are too cute! Dylan can definately make Lauren laugh better than anyone! They were laughing so hard that Lauren would fall over. I noticed that their laughs are the same. I've got a ton of pictures, but Lauren is crying, so I'll post them soon!

After a blowout from Lauren, a poopy diaper for Dylan and a bath for Lauren, she is finally asleep. I got the pictures downloaded, so I wanted to post a few.

I absolutely love this last one! How precious!
