4th of July (a bit late)

I'm not doing a very good job of keeping up with my blog. Life is just keeping us busy all the time! I wanted to do a post for the fourth of July, but didn't get a chance. So here goes! We had a busy weekend planned and were really looking forward to seeing the fireworks. My mom came up here on Friday to pick blueberries with me. Then Saturday morning we were going to go with her to the Brownsburg parade. I thought it would be lots of fun for the kids. Dylan decided that he needed to get sick instead. I'm pretty sure he had the flu because he was throwing up all night long. Ricky and I took turns staying up with him and my mom helped out with the other kids, thankfully! Poor Dylan was so bummed about not getting to go see the fireworks. My dad was going to shoot some off with his friend (some amazing ones that he got from a friend) and we were planning on going to see them. My mom ended up taking Lauren for the night and we stayed home to let Dylan recover. On Sunday, we went down to my parent's house for dinner. We cooled off by going for a swim before the fireworks. This is the only pictures I got on the 4th!
Then, we went over to one of my parent's friends house to shoot more fireworks off. It was lots of fun, other than the millions of mosquito bites we got (we even sprayed repellent all over our bodies and clothes!). Poor Lauren got eaten alive! She had about 20 bites which are now scabs. She will not stop picking at them, so she has "ouies" all over her legs that keep scabbing up and then bleeding again. How do you get an almost 2 year old to stop picking at scabs? I would love some advice because we are going through bandaids like no other! She is still a little cutie!
Dylan started swim lessons last week, so we have somewhere to go Monday through Friday for 2 weeks! It's really nice to get out of the house, and Dylan loves to go. He is doing a great job learning new things and will now put his head under water by himself! I'm so proud of him! He asks me every night what we are doing tomorrow. I guess he just has to prepare himself overnight for swimming! This past weekend, we went to my mom's side family reunion. It was so much fun seeing all of my cousins and their kids. There are 6 grandkids, 3 spouses, and 10 great grandkids! All from just my mom and her sister! It's great how fast families can grow! Speaking of growing, we went to the Pizza Hut buffet the other night and the hostess asked how many. I said 5 and then it hit me, we are a family of 5 now! How crazy! Then the waitress asked how old the kids were. I told her 4 and 1 (not including Ethan!). Until tomorrow, I have a 4 year old, a 1 year old, and a 4 month old! Crazy!
Here are the my grandparents and all 10 great grandchildren.

Last Thursday on Ricky's day off we went to see Toy Story 3. We took all the kids and they did great! It was Ethan's first movie and I think he slept through most of it! It was really fun to do something spontaneously with my growing family!

We went with some friends to Chuck 'E Cheese today. The kids had a blast. Lauren was even riding the rides! Yeah! They have both come so far from the first time they went! It wore the kids out and they were all three sleeping when we got home! We might have to go there more often!
