Best Deal Ever!
Conference and Zoo
Let's see... Where to begin. Last weekend, May 15th, I went to Time Out for Women in Cincinnati, Ohio with my mom, sister, and some friends. It was really nice to get away for the weekend and to hear that other women face the same issues that we deal with. I got some good information from the speakers and really had a blast. The blonde in the middle is Hillary Weeks. She has the most beautiful voice. I really enjoy her music.

Dylan was scared of the sharks, so I helped him touch them. Then after about 5 minutes, he was all over the place trying to touch them himself. Too cute! We only had to remind them a few times to not splash the water!

Yesterday, my friend Bobette and I had a garage sale. I wasn't sure how we would do with it being a holiday weekend, but we sold a ton of stuff. We were glad to see the stuff gone and to have a little extra cash for all the hard work! Her kids came over and played with Dylan all day Friday and Saturday. They had a blast. We got the pool out and the slip and slide. Dylan got so exhaused that he fell asleep on the couch watching a movie. He had to be really tired to do that, because he never wants to take naps! To be a kid again!
Lauren has 8 teeth now and is starting to move a little. I just looked in her mouth and noticed that 3 teeth already popped through. She is growing up too fast! She started crawling forward for food, but not toys. Probably because there are toys all around her. If we put her on her belly, she would back up or just complain. Now, she will move around in a circle and scoot forward. She still likes to just sit on her bum and play. She started scooting forward while sitting on her bum. I think it's cute. She grabs the carpet to move forward. She is eating very well! She eats about 3 jars of baby food with cheerios, fruit and veggie puffs, crackers, cookies, cheese, etc. It seems like I am feeding her all the time. She is eating more and more of regular food.
Speaking of regular food, Dylan is starting to eat better. It is nice to have him take a bite of dinner and say, "Mmmm, I do like this." He will at least try a bite of different foods, instead of only eating cheese sandwiches and chicken nuggets. Funny story: Ricky asked him what he wanted to eat the other day and he said he wanted a cheesy burrito (tortilla with cheese, rolled up). Ricky told him he needed to eat something else, so Dylan said he wanted a cheesy quesadilla (tortilla with cheese folded in half and cut into slices). At this point, Ricky was laughing and told him to pick something else. Dylan then said that he wanted a cheese sandwich (bread with a slice of cheese). Silly kid. All he wants to eat is cheese.
Dylan is getting so smart. We started working on spelling his name. He almost has it. Next we are going to work on our address. My friend's little boy knows his, and I thought it was a good idea. Another funny story: Dylan asked me for something the other day and I told him to go ask his dad. He went into the kitchen to Ricky and said, "Mom said that I could have this." Too bad Ricky heard me tell him to go ask dad. I don't know where he picks these things up. He loves to play outside. He is getting really good at hitting the ball. Next summer, we are going to sign him up for t-ball. I'm sure he'll love it! Potty training is still going. I think I'm going to throw him outside until he gets it. Now that the weather is nice, he can just run around with just underwear on.
Ricky and I are doing great. Keeping busy. We started a date night swap, and I am loving it already! It's great to know that we get regular dates again and we don't have to pay anyone. Yeah! Where should we go this Friday night? I'm open for suggestions! We hope you are all doing well! I am really trying to keep you all updated on everything.

First accident
We had our first little accident yesterday. Ricky was playing with Lauren and picked her up to get her to stop fussing, and heard a popping sound. I nursed her, because she was tired and crying hysterically, and she was still upset. She wouldn't move her arm at all. I decided to take her into the Urgent Care center after calling the doctors office. They didn't have any appointments until 4:30 and we couldn't wait that long. I got there and they had an hour wait. I thought that seemed long, so I called another Urgent Care center just down the street. They didn't have a wait, so I headed over there. Luckily, my friend offered to watch Dylan or I think I might have gone crazy! Poor Lauren was in so much pain. I felt bad for her. She had dislocated her elbow. I didn't even know that was possible. I had heard about dislocating shoulders, but never elbows. I guess now I know! After two hours and 2 Urgent Care centers, we finally got her arm fixed. She was a happy little girl once the doctor put it back in place. She fell asleep on the way home from the doctor. We learned our lesson about how fragile her little arms are.

Parks and more
Where has all my time gone? I can't believe that it's already May! Well, what have we been up to? Last Saturday I ran a half marathon with my friend Bobette. We ran/walked it in about 3 hours! Not bad for not preparing very well! I would much rather run the shorter distances like 5K or 10K. She got a picture, but I haven't gotten it from her yet. Maybe someday!
In other news, I started selling Stampin' Up! I am doing a Stamp Camp tonight and tomorrow night. I am getting excited and nervous and all that! I hope it works out for me, because I really enjoy doing it! We went to the park the other day with some friends. I got some really cute pictures of the kids, so I thought I would share them.
We have been fighting colds around here the past week. It's not been fun. Lauren had another tooth pop through, so we are up to 5 now! She still isn't crawling or walking. She is just happy sitting there with a bucket of toys to play with. She started to want Dylan's toys instead of her toys. I'm sure it will get better when she starts crawling and grabbing what she wants. Oh well! I am preparing myself now!
Dylan is doing great. He likes to sit in his booster seat, since he is a big boy. We are working on the part where he doesn't unbuckle himself while we are driving. I've only had to pull over twice to move him to the other car seat. I'm sure he'll get it soon. We are still working on the nap transition. He almost needs them every other day. I guess if he would just go to sleep when we put him to bed, he wouldn't be so tired! Last week, we found him in our bed asleep and then last night, he fell asleep on the floor in the hallway. Silly boy! We are still struggling with potty training. He is doing TONS better. He will poop in the potty, we are just working on telling us when he has to pee. He is catching on to it, slowly but surely! One day.
I finally got around to getting a picture of our bedroom. Thanks Ricky for painting it! I love it! It's hard to get a good picture of the the real color. It's bluish gray. Now, we just need to do the bathroom!

Easter, a little late!
Then on Easter morning, we woke up early to give the kids their baskets. Dylan was so excited that the Easter bunny came! He got a little wooden train track and Lauren got a baby doll. He liked the sunglasses and candy best!
